Rocky Creek Dam Closed
Rous Water is undertaking work to upgrade the embankment of Rocky Creek Dam so that it meets current dam safety standards. The work is expected to take 6 months and must be undertaken during the drier months of the year to protect the dam from damage due to flooding. During the construction period the dam and park will be closed to the public, sorry for any inconvenience.

Voluntary Permanent Water Saving Measures
From 5th October 2009 Rous Water and local councils in the Rous region have introduced voluntary permanent water saving measures. All residents and businesses are encouraged to follow these simple guidlines for saving water at home and at work.

Wilsons River Catchment Management Plan
Rous Water and key stakeholders have developed a Catchment Management Plan (CMP) for the catchment area of the Wilsons River Source (a new major water source for the Far North Coast region). The public exhibition period ended on 17 July 2009, and we thank everyone who provided feedback.
