This website is maintained by Rous Water and managed in accordance with the requirements of the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (NSW). By using this website you are voluntarily providing the following information in relation to each page that you view on the website:
- IP (internet protocol) address and type of browser and operating system of the computer you are using
- Top level domain name such as .au/.com/.uk/.gov
- Address of your server
- Date and time of your visit
- Pages accessed and documents downloaded
- Previous site visited
This information is collected, pooled and reported back to Rous Water by its contractor. Rous Water uses this information to establish and better understand patterns of website usage so that, among other things, it can continue to refine the content and improve the usability of the site for its users.
The information reported to Rous Water is accessible only by staff of Rous Water. It is stored securely within a records management system and will only be disclosed to a third party when required or permitted by law. However Rous Water reserves the right to disclose any information held by it to an appropriate law enforcement agency or investigative agency if it suspects, unauthorized access to its web server or interference with its website, has or may have occurred. - To access files which are not published Rous Water pages
- By another site to index the contents of the Rous Water website

Information such as your email address that is collected by Rous Water through its General Enquiries Form is used to reply to your enquiry or for such other purposes related to Rous Water’s operations. Rous Water will not place your email address on a mailing list or any other contact register.
