Future Water Strategy PRG
Rous Water has commenced work on the Future Water Strategy and two community information sessions were held in late September.
To maintain a sustainable water supply for the region, Rous Water is developing a Future Water Strategy to guide its long-term water resource planning. The Future Water Strategy will be developed in consultation with the community over the next two years.
A project reference group is now being formed. For more information download the forms (found here), freecall 1800 159 882 or email futurewaterstrategy@terracecomm.com.au. Nominations to join the project reference group are requested by 30 October 2009.

A community survey conducted on behalf of Rous Water has found that the majority of water customers in the Rous region support the idea of permanent and mandatory water conservation measures.

A Change to our Water Treatment
Rous Water has announced that the treatment process is switching from chloramination (involving the addition of chlorine and ammonia) to chlorination (chlorine only).
